TeenWorks is a nonprofit corporation that operates multiple programs in Fairfield County, Ohio.
Our 3 current programs include:
Opportunity Works operates as the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program for Fairfield County.
No Kidding Ohio is a peer to peer pregnancy prevention program funded by the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood.
Subsidized Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a job skills and on the job training in conjunction with the Fairfield County juvenile court and is currently funded by the Governor’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives.
Opportunity Works participants must be between the ages of 14 and 24, fall within the income guidelines, and possess one or more of the following potential barriers to employment:
- Deficient in math and/or reading skills
- Behind at least one grade level in school
- Possess a disability (including IEP)
- Involved in foster care
- Homeless
- Pregnant or parenting
- Possess an offender status
- Require additional assistance to secure or maintain employment
No Kidding Ohio participants must be between the ages of 15-24 and meet the below criteria:
- Be an active parent
- Have had a child at a young age
- Be willing to share your story
- Good communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Good standings with academics and school attendance
- Must be TANF eligible
SYEP participants must be between the ages of 14-24 and meet the below criteria:
- Working with a juvenile court program
- Interested in learning more about the world of work
- Responsible
- Referred to program by court official
